The Lionville Soccer Club strives to provide positive, balanced and effective development
for players in the Downingtown Areas School District. In 2007, Lionville continued its
longstanding tradition - over 90% of the players who tried out were selected to play for
their school teams! LSC fielded ten teams in the PAGS and Delco leagues. Nine of the
ten teams participated in Premier, Division 1 or Division 2 competition.
2007 Boys U-10 Kixx Take 2nd at Kids Peace Invitational Tournament!
After a solid U-9 campaign, the Boys U-10 Kixx jumped
up a division to meet new challenges. The Kixx were competitive and
played their hearts out in every game, but ended the Delco League play in the
lower half of the rankings. In tournament play, the feisty Kixx squad
took 2nd place in their division at the Kids Peace Invitational
and reached the semi-finals in their respective brackett at the Dillsburg
Shootout. Closing out the year in the Far Post's indoor Session
II, the Kixx, once again, displayed their competitive & spirited
play in reaching the semi-finals.
2007 Boys U-11 Blast get off to Fast Start in Delco!
The
Boys U-11 Blast started 7-0 in Delco Division II League play, and made it to
the semi-finals of league play! The
tough U11 squad took 2nd place in their division of Spirit United Tournament,
and 1st place in their Division in the
West-Mont Tournament.
2007 Boys U-12 Tornadoes Finish Strong in Delco!
After falling in the first
two games of their Delco Division II fall season, the U-12 Tornadoes were
unbeaten in their remaining eight games. The Tornadoes were finalists in the
first session of the Winter Indoor League at The Far Post in Oaks, PA and
semifinalists in the second session.
2007 Girls U13 Lady Twisters Take 2nd in PAGS!
The Girls U13 Lady Twisters had a highly successful
2007 campaign. In regular season play,
they finished with an impressive 6 - 2 - 1 record, securing a 2nd Place
finish in their division. This was an improvement
over their 3rd place finish in 2006.
They went on to be finalists in the Championship division playoff match. In addition, the Lady Twisters were semi-finalists
in Virginia Beach Columbus Day Tournament, and Champions of the Southern Chester
County Soccer Association Memorial Day Tournament!
2007 Boys U13 Scorpions Finish Second at Cape May Tournament!
The
Lionville Scorpions took two out of three matches and played outstanding team soccer
to finish 2nd in their division at the George Pratt Memorial
Tournament in Cape May. The U13
Scorpions continued to show their talent and grit by finishing in the first
division of the U13/U14 Winter Indoor League at USTC.

The Lionville Soccer Club provides Travel Soccer for boys and girls in the Uwchlan Township and surrounding areas.
It is designed for the more serious soccer player who is looking for a greater level of instruction and competition.
The Club is committed to the ideals of fair play, sportsmanship, teamwork and the development of character. Our
primary objective is to develop players by providing quality instruction that challenges each player, and to instill
a love and respect for the game. We believe that while winning is important, development of character and skill take
priority. We strive to ensure that every player who goes through the travel program will be sufficiently prepared to
play for their school teams.
