Tornadoes Headlines
The Lionville SC Tornadoes concluded another undefeated regular season in the DELCO League, bringing their three-year streak to 29 straight regular season games without a loss! In addition to their success in the EPYSA Third Division, the Tornadoes were finalists in the 2009 West Chester United Summer Classic and champions in both the 2009 Conestoga Valley 3v3 Super Soccer Shootout and the 2009 CPYSC Columbus Day Blast. The U-14's are currently competing in Futsal and Touchline-Turf indoor sessions at the United Sports Training Center.

2009 Conestoga Valley 3v3 Shootout Champions
Congratulations to the Lionville SC Tornadoes 3v3 squad on an amazing run through the Conestoga Valley 3v3 Super Soccer Shootout! After falling 2-1 to the Tidal Wave in their opening match, the Tornadoes rolled through Conestoga Valley United and the Donegal Hooligans before turning the tables on the Tidal Wave to win clinch the division championship!

The U-14's got off to a flying start at the WCUSC Summer Classic, defeating the Brandywine Youth Club Blast and drawing with an impressive West Chester United SC Eagles '95 side. As Group A winners, the Tornadoes were on a path to meet with the Swarthmore Dragons in the semifinals, but the remainder of the tournament was cancelled due to a line of severe thunderstorms. Despite end-to-end action and a tight first half of the rescheduled championship game between group winners, Lionville fell to the GCVSA Knights of EPYSA 1.

After an early setback when they met Parkland's EPYSA 2 team, the U-14's rebounded with a dominating performance against Deep Run Valley's U-15 Venom. In their final match, the Tornadoes managed to erase a 2-0 deficit in the closing minutes to draw with TriBoro Strikers.
